LULLABY SHAMPOO BAR | REVIEW

Hi guys, I’m back with a shampoo bar review! For the last couple of months I’ve been using Smuggler’s soul but it recently ran out and it’s only available at Father’s Day, so I decided to shop around for a new one to try! I immediately was drawn to Lullaby as Lavender is my favourite scent of all time. It does wonders for my anxiety and it just puts me in such a good mood! I also liked the light pink colour of it (I really am a sucker for aesthetics!)

Lullaby also contains Chamomile Oil, which is also very calming and soothing, as well as Oat Milk (to sooth sensitive scalps), Neroli Oil and Jojoba Oil (super moisturising!). All of these combined produce a beautiful scent, which makes my hair smell wonderful. I dry my shampoo bars in my room before popping them back in the tin, so my whole room always smells of Chamomile and Lavender!

The only downside to this shampoo bar is that I found it quite drying on my hair, but honestly that can easily be remedied by using a good conditioner afterwards. I’ve experienced the same thing with a few other shampoo bars, and it’s something that doesn’t particularly bother me.

This bar retails for £5.75, which is the average price of most of the regular line shampoo bars. It’s a kitchen exclusive (It’s listed with a black label not a green one, so I presume this is an Oxford Street Exclusive?) All my shampoo bars have always lasted me up to 3 months, so I’d 100% recommend that you make the switch to solid shampoo!

I really hope you enjoyed this review! Stay tuned for some exciting new reviews of the new releases!

Top 5 products for beginners

Hi guys, I thought this would be a really fun post to write and I thought it would be helpful to any beginner lushies who are maybe a little overwhelmed at the vast selection of products! Here are my top 5 products for beginners, that get you the most for your money and allow you to truly feel the full Lush experience!

#1 Intergalactic bath bomb

This is one of Lush’s most iconic bath bombs and it’s definitely one that people think of when they think of Lush. It smells gorgeous and emulates that “Lush shop” scent. It’s packed full of lustre, creates incredible bath art and it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. This is 100% something that I keep coming back to again and again. If you’re looking for a full-on Lush bath, then this is the bath bomb for you!

#2 The Comforter bubble bar

Bubble bars are great for when you don’t want to break the bank. The Comforter is under £5 and, depending on how bubbly you like your bath, you can get up to eight uses out of this (maybe more, who knows?). The Comforter is really soothing, with Bergamot Oil and a blackcurrant scent, so it’s ideal for a relaxing night time soak. It bubbles up super well, so a little goes a long way, Just crumble a bit of this under running water and watch the water bubble and turn a deep pink!

#3 Rainbow Fun

This is such a fun product that has so many uses! Use under running water for loads of bubbles, use as a soap/wash on your body or sculpt it into something amazing! With 7 colours comes 7 different coloured baths (or use all at once if you prefer!). This is definitely a bank account saver as well, as this stuff lasts for ages and ages! It smells absolutely divine and it leaves your skin feeling refreshed. This is a must-have for lushies!

#4 A big ass bottle of shower gel of your choice (my personal favourite is Happy Hippy!)

Let’s all be real here. You’ll definitely fall in love with whichever shower gel you decide to buy, so why not just skip the 100g and go straight for the bigger sizes? This is a mistake I’ve made before. Lush shower gel does last a while, but if you’re in love with a scent and you don’t ever want to be left without it, always go for a bigger bottle (500g or 1kg if you can stretch to it!) Believe me, it’s worth the investment.

#5 A shampoo bar of your choice (I really love Karma Komba)

A Lush solid shampoo bar is a must for all new lushies. If you’re thinking that Lush is too expensive then you’re wrong! Most shampoo bars at Lush range from approx. £5 to £7, BUT they last for about 3-4 months (depending on how frequently you wash your hair). I fell in love with Karma Komba but I recently branched out and tried Smuggler’s Soul from the Father’s day collection and I was blown away by how shiny it left my hair! Naked shampoo is also amazing for the environment! (For these shampoo bars I’d recommend a shampoo tin or a small tupperware tub).

And that’s it!

I hope you guys enjoyed my post and hopefully I’ve inspired some new lushies to go out and give these products a go!
