CHEERY CHRISTMAS BATH BOMB | CHRISTMAS 2018

Hey guys,

I’m back with another Christmas review for you guys! This time, it’s Cheery Christmas, a new product for 2018! My housemate used this in our house and it made the whole place smell absolutely gorgeous! I was intrigued, as I’m usually not so fond on cherry scents, but this scent was really different! To my surprise, my housemate decided to buy me one for Christmas as I’d been pining after it so much! I had this bath bomb sitting in my uni room and it made it smell heavenly and so christmassy! Anyway, on with the review!

Scent ~

Cheery christmas is very sweet, with Sicilian Lemon Oil and Buchu Oil (similar to a blackcurrant scent), which gives it a refreshing scent, which smells very similar to The Comforter, a much loved Lush product of mine! It has a very sweet scent, so if that’s not for you, I wouldn’t recommend it as it’s as sweet as you can get! I’m a big fan of sweet scents this time of year, as they feel so indulgent and special.

Appearance/aesthetics ~

This is a deceptive little bath bomb, as it’s pink on the outside, with a white snowflake motive, but when you drop it into the bath, it erupts into blue. The pink and blue swirl together to give you beautiful purple waters! It produces really lovely bath art as it’s a slow fizzer, so it lasts for the duration of your bath.

Ingredients ~

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Buchu Oil, Cream of Tartar, Water (Aqua), Titanium Dioxide, Cornstarch Sodium Coco Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Citral, Limonene, Perfume (+ loads of colours)

Final thoughts ~

This bath bomb is super gorgeous and a very welcome addition to the Lush Christmas 2018 range! It’s pretty without being overly christmassy for those who aren’t into that and it makes a lovely gift (I can vouch!) at this time of the year. If you love The Comforter, buy this now! It’s sweet with a hit of acidity and blackcurrant and it’s very luxurious and soothing. And it’s one of the cheaper bath bombs Lush offers at £3.95, so it’s perfectly acceptable to splash out for yourself too without breaking the bank!

Really hope you’ve enjoyed this Christmas Lush review! I have loads more planned so stay tuned for more festive content!

SLEEPY SHOWER GEL| CHRISTMAS 2018

Hey guys!

Sorry for the long break in posts of late, uni has been crazy and I just haven’t had the time to write posts and edit photos! My weekend hasn’t been too busy, so I thought I’d do my first Christmas review for 2018! I haven’t purchased a whole lot of the Christmas range YET, due to limited funds, but I have purchased a couple of shower gels, because I have no self-control!

I was super upset to see that Twilight wouldn’t be making a return this Christmas, but my spirits were lifted when I saw they’d released a new shower gel instead – Sleepy! I never, ever thought I’d say this, but I think I like it more than Twilight! It’s got a gorgeous colour to it and I’m just in love!

It’s part of the Twilight scent family, so the scent is the classic lavender we all know and love, but the texture is a little different and I just adore the lavender colour! It looks amazing and it lathers great! This would definitely make a gorgeous present for any lavender lovers!

Lush has been making some questionable decisions in terms of discontinuing products, but I actually think that replacing Twilight with Sleepy is a really nice idea! It revamps the Christmas line, but without taking away the iconic scent that I associate with the Christmas range! The new colour also adds an aesthetic value as well, and it fits in with the other Christmas shower gels.

Overall, Twilight-mourners, fear not, Sleepy Shower Gel is amazing and it is just as good (if not better) than Twilight!

Hope you’ve enjoyed this mini review and stay tuned for more reviews!
