Top 5 products for beginners

Hi guys, I thought this would be a really fun post to write and I thought it would be helpful to any beginner lushies who are maybe a little overwhelmed at the vast selection of products! Here are my top 5 products for beginners, that get you the most for your money and allow you to truly feel the full Lush experience!

#1 Intergalactic bath bomb

This is one of Lush’s most iconic bath bombs and it’s definitely one that people think of when they think of Lush. It smells gorgeous and emulates that “Lush shop” scent. It’s packed full of lustre, creates incredible bath art and it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. This is 100% something that I keep coming back to again and again. If you’re looking for a full-on Lush bath, then this is the bath bomb for you!

#2 The Comforter bubble bar

Bubble bars are great for when you don’t want to break the bank. The Comforter is under £5 and, depending on how bubbly you like your bath, you can get up to eight uses out of this (maybe more, who knows?). The Comforter is really soothing, with Bergamot Oil and a blackcurrant scent, so it’s ideal for a relaxing night time soak. It bubbles up super well, so a little goes a long way, Just crumble a bit of this under running water and watch the water bubble and turn a deep pink!

#3 Rainbow Fun

This is such a fun product that has so many uses! Use under running water for loads of bubbles, use as a soap/wash on your body or sculpt it into something amazing! With 7 colours comes 7 different coloured baths (or use all at once if you prefer!). This is definitely a bank account saver as well, as this stuff lasts for ages and ages! It smells absolutely divine and it leaves your skin feeling refreshed. This is a must-have for lushies!

#4 A big ass bottle of shower gel of your choice (my personal favourite is Happy Hippy!)

Let’s all be real here. You’ll definitely fall in love with whichever shower gel you decide to buy, so why not just skip the 100g and go straight for the bigger sizes? This is a mistake I’ve made before. Lush shower gel does last a while, but if you’re in love with a scent and you don’t ever want to be left without it, always go for a bigger bottle (500g or 1kg if you can stretch to it!) Believe me, it’s worth the investment.

#5 A shampoo bar of your choice (I really love Karma Komba)

A Lush solid shampoo bar is a must for all new lushies. If you’re thinking that Lush is too expensive then you’re wrong! Most shampoo bars at Lush range from approx. £5 to £7, BUT they last for about 3-4 months (depending on how frequently you wash your hair). I fell in love with Karma Komba but I recently branched out and tried Smuggler’s Soul from the Father’s day collection and I was blown away by how shiny it left my hair! Naked shampoo is also amazing for the environment! (For these shampoo bars I’d recommend a shampoo tin or a small tupperware tub).

And that’s it!

I hope you guys enjoyed my post and hopefully I’ve inspired some new lushies to go out and give these products a go!

Lush haul update

Hi guys! Just a quick update on my recent lush haul. I’ve tried out all the products and here are my verdicts! (I accidently deleted individual images of the products, except for Lava lamp, so I thought I’d use that as my cover photo!)

Karma Komba shampoo bar

This does wonders for my horrendously bleach-damaged hair. It leaves my hair soft and shiny. I purchased a tin for it from depop, and unfortunately now have the shampoo bar stuck inside the tin. Top tip – DO NOT PUT THIS PRODUCT INTO THE TIN WET! I’m in the process of cutting away the tin so I can use the product again though!

Guardian of the forest bath bomb

This product was super fun to watch in the bath! The deep green colours were amazing and my whole bathroom smelt amazing! After all the fabulous fizzing, the water turns a vibrant green colour (but don’t worry, it doesn’t stain the tub!). This product sells out so quickly on the website, so get it while you can! 10/10 for presentation!

Lava lamp bath bomb

This was a really interesting bath bomb. The little dark purple spots are actually really creamy and I presume are made from shea butter? They pop out when the bath bomb is fizzing and I used them on my skin. Be careful, they pigment WILL stain blonde/light hair, so wash your hands before handling your hair! Honestly, it was kind of fun have purple splodges in my hair, however it will wash out in the shower. Love this product and I’d definitely recommend giving it a go!

More lush hauls etc. to come soon hopefully! Going to try and get loads of things for uni so maybe a fresher’s haul is on the way?

Mini Lush haul

Hi guys!

Sorry it’s been so long!

  1. Been quite poor, so no money for Lush goodies 😦
  2. Exams are coming up and I’m been tucked away in my room revising.

But I’m here now! I decided to treat myself to a few little goodies, some of which I’ve never tried before. I’ll do an updated review when I’ve used everything, but I’ll just do a little overview now of my first impressions.

Karma Komba shampoo bar

This smells great & I can’t wait to use it! Karma is my favourite scent from Lush and I was so excited to discover that it came in shampoo form! I can’t wait to use this in the shower tomorrow!

Yoga Bomb

I’ve had this bath bomb before and I absolutely love it! ❤ It smells divine and it’s so buttery on your skin. I would definitely recommend giving this one a go.

Lava Lamp

Wasn’t sure what to make of this online, since it seems to have an Austin Powers theme (NOT a fan), but the cute look of this lured me in. It smells very citrusy, which is a scent I really enjoy in my bath. Can’t wait to use it!

Guardian of the Forest

I have been waiting for ages for this one to come back in stock online! I’ve seen it so many times on other blogs and youtube etc. and I’ve wanted it so badly! It smells very nice and earthy, kind of smells a little bit like the ultra violet bubble bar (but without the violet, if that makes sense?) I’m really excited to see what this one looks like in the water!

And that’s it for my mini little Lush haul. I will update you all on how I like these products in the coming month.
