SCRUBEE BODY SCRUB | REVIEW

Hi guys! I’m back with another review and it’s a new product! Scrubee was released for Mother’s Day but I missed it so I was ecstatic when Lush announced they’d be becoming permanent!

Scrubee is such an adorable product and it’s super unique, compared to other Lush body scrubs. I also like how Scrubee is almost a combination of a body scrub and a body butter/moisturiser. It is made using Shea butter and Cocoa Butter, which are both fabulously moisturising. I enjoy having a quick shower before bed in the hot weather, so having a 2-in-1 product is ideal for me!

Scrubee is part of the “Honey I washed the kids” scent family. I haven’t tried many of the other products in the family but as soon as I smelt Scrubee in the shop (the revamped York shop – would recommend a visit!) I knew I had to have it. It has a predominantly honey scent, but it contains Brazilian Orange Oil and Bergamot Oil, which add a richness to it’s overall scent. It’s absolutely gorgeous!

Like the other scrubs (and solid products) Lush make, Scrubee is best used in the shower but not left under the running water. I personally use it all over my body before I get in the shower, then wash it off before I start my hair routine. This has really worked well for me. If I do get Scrubee wet I usually leave it to dry on top of a Tupperware box until it’s bone dry again.

In my opinion, the best feature of Scrubee is the use of ground coconut shell and almond as it’s exfoliant. I usually use sugar scrubs (Rough with the Smooth of late), so I did find the coconut shell a little rough, but I got used to it quite quickly. I very much appreciate how well it managed to rid my legs of my flaky, dry skin! Also, a perfect moisturiser for after you’ve shaved your legs!

Overall, I absolutely adore this product and I’d definitely recommend it! It lasts for ages, so it’s definitely worth the £6.95! Give it a try in store if you’re STILL unconvinced!

Ingredients: Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter Fair, Trade Shea Butter, Ground Coconut Shell, Perfume, Honey, Ground Almonds, Coconut Oil, Bergamot Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, Amyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool

Hope you enjoyed the review!

TWILIGHT BATH BOMB | REVIEW

Hi guys! I’m back with another bath bomb review! This time, it’s a Lush classic: Twilight. The last time I used this bath bomb was a long time ago and I have no idea why I haven’t repurchased until now! It’s such a great bath bomb and it’s a perfect for calming my anxiety before bed.

Twilight is one of Lush’s staple bath bombs, and I can understand why. It really is a beautiful bath bomb, with stars and moons embossed into it’s purple-pink outer layer. Hidden inside is a core of vibrant blue, with small yellow parts as well.

It’s a slow-fizzer, so it takes a while for the blue and yellow to start dissolving, but when they do your bath is transformed into a gorgeous lilac colour. It creates amazing bath art as it dissolves and the silver lustre is a nice touch. Your bath will look like a twilight sky, hence the name.

(Ignore the chipped nails!)

Twilight is heavily scented with Lavender Oil and Tonka Absolute, giving it a very soothing and relaxing scent. As I said, it really helped to calm down my anxiety before I went to bed. I’d imagine it’d also make a lovely bath in the morning, to help calm the nerves before a big event etc. (I’d certainly be tempted!) It also contains Ylang Ylang Oil, one of my personal favourites, which combines nicely to give Twilight an overall floral and sweet scent.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend Twilight. The scent is to die for and you’ll no doubt be hooked once you’ve bought your first one! It’s only £3.95 too, which is a really good price for a regular-sized bath bomb!

If you love the scent, why not try the new Twilight Body Spray? It’s a perfect way to keep the scent on your skin for longer!

Hope you enjoyed this review, keep checking back for more!

Ups-A-Daisy bath bomb | Mother’s Day 2017

Another review of one of the Mother’s Day 2017 products.  This time, it’s the Ups-a-Daisy bath bomb! I was super excited to try this one out, after seeing pictures of it online. It’s super cute, bright and colourful – perfect for Spring.

It’s full of beautiful essential oils, such as Rosewood oil and orange oil. It’s got a very nice, fresh scent to it, which is ideal for Springtime baths! The scent really lifted my spirits on a rainy Spring evening!

This bath bomb looks very colourful and it doesn’t disappoint in the bath! It’s a slow fizzer, so plenty of time to appreciate the gorgeous mix of colours that spiral out of the centre. It turns your bath water a lovely muted orange colour and it’s very soft on the skin. Rosewood oil actually has antiseptic properties, so it’s a very healing bath (or so it feels!). It’s got a little bit of lustre in it, but nothing too crazy, so don’t worry about it staining your bath at all. I barely noticed any glitter once the bath had drained.

A very short and sweet review! As this is part of the Mother’s Day range, it’d recommend picking up one of these bath bombs either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift to your mum!

This bath bomb is only £3.50 (which I think is really good given it’s size), so why not?

Mum bath bomb | Mother’s Day 2017

Hi guys! I’m so excited, because my Mother’s Day purchases arrived a few days ago! I’m super, super excited because I picked up one of the much awaited Mother Earth bath bombs! Stay tuned for the review! I picked up a few other bath bombs, and one was, of course, the Mum bath bomb! I was on quite a tight budget this year, so I pretty excited when I saw this was only £2.95! Definitely a good one if you’re saving all your pennies for the Easter range!

Anyway, on with the review! This bath bomb is super cute and would make a great present for Mother’s Day! However, my mum doesn’t really enjoy bath bombs (at all), so I decided to buy it for myself. It’s quite a small bath bomb (which is to be expected at such a low price), but it still packs a punch! It’s made with Rose oil, so it has a gorgeous floral scent, with some nice citrus-y undertones from the Sicilian lemon and Sweet orange oils.

This is quite a fast-fizzer, so don’t blink! It turns your bath water a beautiful deep pink. I fancied some bubbles in my bath, so I added in a bit of Snow Fairy too. Embedded within the bath bomb is a secret message, which reads “I ❤ Mum”, which I thought was absolutely adorable (and another reason why this would be a A+ present!).

Overall, really nice little bath bomb, nice floral but fresh scent and a price that doesn’t break the bank!

Cupid Bath Bomb | Valentine’s 2017

Hi guys! Another Valentine’s Day review for you! This time, Cupid! This bath bomb is very cute, but I feel this is often overlooked when people talk about the Valentine’s range? I’m presuming that it’s because this bath bomb isn’t too, “exciting”? I personally quite liked this little bath bomb!

This product is bursting with beautiful scents! It is of course mainly rose-scented, but it also contains violet flower absolute, bergamot oil and Persian lime oil, with raspberry juice as well, so this is a must-have if you enjoy the more fruity, sweet scents! For reference, this bath bomb smells the same as the Razzle Dazzle luxury bath oil!

Cupid is obviously very aesthetically-pleasing, shaped as a cute cupid’s heart. It’s quite small, but it’s a slow fizzer, so don’t worry about this bath bomb being gone too quickly! It took around 10 minutes for mine to fully dissolve in my tub. This bath bomb doesn’t really produce much in the water, just turns your water pink, so if you’re after a bit more, I’d suggest maybe adding a shower gel/bubble bar for some bubbles! (I added in some Snow Fairy!).

Overall, super cute bath bomb! The smell is very refreshing and pleasant and at only £2.95, how could you resist? Stock up on these before the Valentine’s range disappears!

Rockstar soap

This is my first Lush soap and so far I am loving it! It smells just like Snow Fairy and you can smell it on your skin for hours after you use it.

This soap is really affordable and I would definitely recommend trying it if you haven’t already tried any of Lush’s soaps. This has lasted me ages. The easiest way to use the soap is to cut off small pieces to wash your hands with or use in the shower. This means none of the soap gets wasted by dissolving in the water before use.

The smell is honestly the best thing about this product. It smells of sweets, so it’s definitely one to try if you like that type of scent. The soap has tiny little pieces of glitter in it, which don’t particularly stick to your body, but do make it pretty to look at! Lathers up really nicely too.

RRP: £3.50 (100g)

Not sure about samples of soaps, wouldn’t hurt to ask though!

Shimmy Shimmy shimmer bar

This is a really nice novel product, that lasts for ages & is definitely worth every penny.

This product is used to bring a bit of shine to your skin and also moisturises at the same time. I bought this back in December and I am no where near to finishing it, as you can see! Really love the smell of this product, really buttery and creamy. It feels very soft on the skin and leaves behind little flecks of glitter. I have mainly used this for parties/events, but can be used for everyday where if you’re feeling bold.

Definitely a must have for the festival season!

RRP: £4.95

Since this is a solid product, they won’t give you a sample of this.

Dream Cream hand and body lotion

Absolutely adore this!

It has such a nice smell to it, which really lingers after use. There is definitely a reason why this is one of Lush’s no.1 products. This has a really soothing formula, which is perfect for anyone who suffers with dry hands. I have very sensitive skin and so far I have no adverse reactions, so great for skin that is easily irritated.

I have also found this product to be good at calming down eczema, which I suffer from a lot. Contains some really nice oils, like Lavender oil and tea tree oil, which add to it’s gorgeous scent.

Would definitely give this a go guys!

RRP: £6.25
